Jean-François Courval, or simply JF, has been fascinated by kites for many years, drawn to that unique combination of wind, movement, colour, and just enough unpredictability to keep things interesting. Over the years, he has flown both two-line and four-line sport kites, enjoying the precision and challenge of controlling them across the sky.
Today, JF’s passion has shifted toward large kites—the bigger, the better! He particularly enjoys the spectacle of seeing enormous, colourful creations come alive in the wind and transform an open field into something extraordinary. For JF, kite flying is less about mastering complicated manoeuvres and more about creating a little wonder in the sky and sharing it with others. He is delighted to be part of the Hopeville Kite Festival and looks forward to sharing the sky with fellow flyers, families, and anyone who still remembers the simple joy of looking up.
