The Hopeville Kite Festival
Grey County is proud to host Ontario’s largest kite festival. Located just west of Dundalk, the Hopeville kite festival offers a magical weekend of flight, music, food and more.

The Hopeville Kite Festival is produced in collaboration with the South Grey Chamber of Commerce and the Township of Southgate with funding provided by the Government of Ontario and Community Foundation Grey Bruce, plus support from VisitGrey.ca

The festival is FREE but donations are appreciated. Every contribution helps support the festival and keeps this community event soaring year after year.

We recommend bringing comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, water, hats, lawn chairs or a picnic blanket, your camera, and of course your sense of adventure! If you're bringing your own kite, be sure it complies with the festival's safety guidelines

Visitors can enjoy Ontario's largest kite festival featuring giant professional kite displays, live music, a family fun zone, marketplace vendors, delicious food trucks, and entertainment throughout the weekend.

Yes! You're welcome to bring your own kite and enjoy flying it in the designated public flying areas. Please follow all festival safety rules while flying.

Yes, if the dog is on a leash. No letting your dog run around freely and make sure to pick up after them
