Dave McIntyre started kite flying as a teenager, creating his own kites out of sticks and plastic bags. After having kids, he reconnected with the hobby and was inspired by the kites at the Kincardine Beach festival. This is Dave’s second year at the Hopeville Kite Festival, and his favorite kites are the soft kites, as they are more durable and fun to fly. He enjoys the camaraderie of fellow kite flyers and the opportunity to show off his kites.
